Welcome to the Thabat app. Your privacy and your digital and psychological safety are our top priorities. This policy clearly explains how we handle your data in a secure environment based on a "Local-First" architecture.
All physiological biometric data, personal diaries, and mood tracking logs are exclusively saved and processed "locally" within the encrypted storage space on your phone. The Thabat app does not use any external cloud servers to process your emotions, meaning your private data never leaves your phone.
"Guardian of Wisdom" relies on Android's AccessibilityService to detect doomscrolling and digital fatigue.
The audio sensor in Thabat uses the microphone in the background to detect states of high arousal (such as screaming or severe stress) by analyzing the range and frequencies of sound.
When you connect a smartwatch via Bluetooth, Thabat analyzes and evaluates your heart rate (BPM) and its variability locally to support you with stabilization exercises during panic attacks. We do not aggregate your biometric measurements, nor do we ever sell or share them with third parties or health institutions.
To counter excessive sensory overload during stress episodes, the app requests permission to "Modify system settings". This permission allows the app to automatically lower screen brightness and reduce notification sounds locally only. These settings return to normal once your state stabilizes.
Our app requests camera permission to study your blink rate in milliseconds to determine your level of fatigue. We never capture or save any photos of you or record videos. The blink rate is processed in the fast RAM (Random Access Memory) and is erased instantaneously.
Because Thabat operates entirely on the principle of local processing, uninstalling the app from your device necessarily results in the final and irreversible deletion of all your logs, physiological metrics, and Time Capsules.
Thabat relies on the Google AdMob network to display non-intrusive advertisements to support the continuity and development of the app. Google AdMob may collect and use non-personally identifiable phone data (such as "Advertising ID" and IP address) to provide ads that suit your interests. We completely assure you that we do not sell or share any of your psychological or biometric data, or your emotion logs, with advertising networks. For more information, you can review the Google AdMob privacy policy.
